What is In-Town Soccer?

“In-Town” is a soccer program primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without emphasizing travel or high-level competition. Instead, recreational soccer aims to allow the participants to have fun, learn the sport, and develop life skills, including a lifelong love of the game.

What are the age groups?

Boys and Girls play separately in Kindergarten & 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade and 4th thru 6th-grade divisions. In addition, 7th and 8th Grade children play co-ed games for In-Town soccer.

When does the season start?

In-Town Soccer has two seasons, Fall and Spring. Although the specific date changes year to year, we like to have all Fall games begin by September 15th and end by November 1st. In Spring, we attempt to have games start mid-April and end mid-June. Weather permitting.

When are the games?

In-Town soccer games are played on Friday nights between 6 and 7pm and Saturday from 8:30 am until 12 pm or later, depending on the weather or schedule changes. Games can run-up to an hour.

We will do our best to make up games canceled due to weather, field conditions, or global, national, or local public health issues. However, game schedules are not usually published until just before the start of the season and are dependent on field availability and the number of teams in a division. 

When are practices?

The Head Coach or coaching staff sets practice dates and times. Since our In-Town program is comprised mainly of volunteer parent coaches, we allow them to establish practice times and dates around their work or personal schedule. However, we request that the volunteers keep days and times consistent each week so everyone involved can plan accordingly and attend all practices on time.

What EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

All children must have proper footwear in soccer cleats or turf shoes. Shin guards are required. Please purchase age and size-appropriate equipment. Do not assume anything fits out of the box. Try it on first! No jewelry (earrings, bracelets, oversized hair clips) is allowed on the field. BSC will provide each child with a new team jersey for the season. 

I registered and paid, now what?

Once we have completed our registration and sign-up process, we will assign you to a team and coach. Once the coach has access to the team rosters, they will reach out to parents about practice dates and times. This will usually occur one to two weeks before the season starts.

PLEASE READ: Registration fees are non-refundable. However, pro-rated refunds will be offered minus administration fees in the event of global, national, or local public health issues.
